Warm Grandeur

Some homes are designed to impress from the moment you step through the door. This Kew residence — with its double-height entry, custom joinery, and carefully curated material palette — is one of them. The electrical brief matched the ambition of the architecture: everything needed to be specced and installed to the same standard as the rest of the build.

Statement lighting

The double-height entry hall required a purpose-designed chandelier wiring arrangement, with a steel cable support system installed in the roof space to carry the load independently of the fitting's wiring. The dining room featured a large statement pendant on a separate circuit with its own trailing-edge dimmer. All pendant wiring was concealed within the ceiling lining with only the canopy visible at the ceiling plane.

Dimmer circuits throughout

Every room in the home was wired with trailing-edge dimmable circuits, allowing the owners to set precise lighting levels across different moods and times of day. We worked with the lighting designer to map out the circuit groupings and ensure that the dimmer specifications matched the driver requirements of the selected LED fittings.

Home theatre

A dedicated home theatre room was fitted out with a full complement of AV conduit infrastructure, power circuits for the equipment rack, and a separate circuit for the projector. In-wall speaker cabling was run during the rough-in stage and labelled for connection by the AV installer.
