This privacy policy deals with the protection of your privacy while you use our website located at www.millarelectrics.com.au, owned and operated by Millar Electrics Pty Ltd.

We are committed to the protection of your privacy. This policy contains important information about:

We collect the following personal information through our contact form:

How we use your information

We use your personal information to respond to your enquiry and provide electrical services, and as described under Analytics below. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics (OpenPanel, hosted on our own server) to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited and which buttons and forms get used — and Cloudflare Web Analytics to monitor site performance. Neither uses tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics data for advertising.

If you submit an enquiry, we link that browsing activity to the name and contact details you provide. This shows us which pages our enquirers actually read before getting in touch, so we can improve the site. If you don't submit an enquiry, your visit stays anonymous.

We also record anonymised replays of visits — clicks, scrolling and page flow — to find and fix usability problems. All text and everything typed into forms is masked in these recordings, so they never contain your personal details.

Advertising measurement

If you arrived through a Google ad, we report enquiries and phone-number taps back to Google Ads as conversions, so we can tell which ads earn their keep. When you submit an enquiry, Google also receives a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address or phone number to match the enquiry to the ad click. That's the extent of it — we don't share your information with any other advertiser or ad network.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for up to 5 years from the date of collection, after which it is securely deleted.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the site. If you arrived through a Google ad, Google Ads may set a first-party cookie so an enquiry can be matched to the ad click (see Advertising measurement). Beyond that we don't use cookies for tracking.

Third-party data

Our address-lookup field uses Vicmap Address and Vicmap Planning data, published by the State of Victoria under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence.
